Your information will be combined with the answers of the other survey respondents. No individual answers or isolated personal information will be reported.
Respondents will be asked if they are willing to participate in additional research. Those willing to participate may be contacted at a later date and invited to complete additional surveys
All respondents who complete the survey will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win an Artist Signature Series: Action Figure Exclusive Edition Batman: Hush by Jim Lee from DC Direct. Employees, officers, and directors of DC Comics and Simmons Market Research Bureau., their subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively "Sponsors"), and their immediate families and those living in their households, are not eligible. Employees and principals of the agencies and vendors of the Sponsors, their immediate families and those living in their households, are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
The registration instructions in the survey will request you to submit your name, telephone number, and e-mail address (if you have one). If you complete the survey, you will be automatically entered in the prize drawing. Entrants entering via the Web must have a valid e-mail address.
You also may enter by printing your name, address, day-time telephone number and e-mail address (if you have one) and the name of the prize drawing on a 3 x 5 card and mailing it to: DC Comics Sweepstakes, Simmons Market Research Bureau, 29 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
The Survey is scheduled to begin at 6:01 a.m. Eastern Time (United States) on or near July 8, 2006 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on or before August 4, 2006. The Sponsors reserve the right to extend the drawing period in the event our survey research requires prolonging the data collection period. Online entries must be received during the time period of data collection.
Mail-in entries must be postmarked between the start of this survey and no later than August 4, 2006. Only ONE (1) entry per person is permitted. All entries become the exclusive property of Simmons Market Research Bureau, and will not be acknowledged or returned. No entries will be shared or distributed or sold to any third parties. Multiple submissions (more than one) of this survey by single individuals will result in forfeiture of drawing eligibility. Must be 13 years old or more to enter.
ONE winner of the survey prize will be determined by a random drawing conducted by a Simmons Market Research Bureau representative on or about August 15, 2006. The winner will be announced on or about August 15, 2006 when the winner will be notified by e-mail or by phone. Participation in the survey is not required in order to enter the prize-drawing. Equal dignity will be given to mail-in responses, and efforts will be taken to ensure that mail-in responses are indistinguishable from online entries in the drawing. DC Comics has the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Sponsors and their agencies shall not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. No substitution or transfer of prizes or cash equivalent is permitted by the winner. Winner is solely responsible for any taxes of any kind on any prize received. Confirmation of the selection of a winner for this drawing can be obtained by sending an email request to dccomics@smrb.com. Simmons Market Research Bureau is obligated to disclose only the first initial and last name of the winner, to protect that winner's privacy.
Sponsors and their agencies shall not be liable for (a) late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or postage-due entries; (b) telephone, electronic, program, network, Internet, or computer failures of any kind; or (c) failed, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, or delayed computer messages. Sponsors and their agencies shall not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Survey. By completing the Survey, entrants release and hold Sponsors and their agencies harmless from any and all damages and claims of any kind in connection with the Survey. Sponsors reserve the right to confirm all winners for eligibility and compliance with the rules and regulations. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this drawing should viruses, bugs, Internet failure or other causes beyond the Sponsors control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the drawing.
Any disputes or litigation related to this sweepstakes drawing must be addressed within the jurisdiction of New York State Courts in the United States of America, and be subject to the laws of the State of New York without regard to its choice of law rules.
